If you liked our Ginger Beer Paloma – you will definitely want to try out this Spicy Cucumber Margarita.
It seems like a weird combination – spicy and alcohol (or does it?) – but it is surprisingly so tasty and refreshing. The cucumber provides the smooth, cooling taste while the fresh jalapeño gives it just the right bite.
The best part is that this cocktail is made with 100% real ingredients, and not any of that sugary mix that people usually use to make margaritas.
3 oz. silver agave tequila
1 tbs agave nectar
2 large limes, juiced
1 medium navel orange, juiced
peeled and sliced cucumber (about 4-5 slices)
sliced fresh jalapeño (typically about 2-3, but depends on how spicy you want it)
salt for rim
Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip in salt. Put all ingredients in a shaker and shake. Pour into glass – sip and do a happy dance.
100% fresh and 100% natural is how we prefer to drink our cocktails.
When we say this Strawberry Blonde Beerita is summertime in a glass we are not exaggerating, this is definitely the perfect poolside or patio cocktail.
This recipe is easy to make and is crisp & refreshing between the lime margarita flavor mixed with the blonde beer. Sometimes flavored beers can be overwhelming but this one is so subtle and light, its a new favorite! We love to use locally made products as much as possible and we are definitely lucky to have such great craft beers here in Texas!
Here’s how you make our Beerita:
1 small naval orange
3 oz. silver tequila
1 tbs. agave nectar
2 Strawberry Blonde Shiner beers – find where you can buy some here
Himalayan sea salt (for glass rim)
In a shaker (ours is this one from Anthropologie), muddle the strawberries as much as possible. Squeeze in the orange juice and lime juice. Add tequila and agave. Load about halfway with ice, and shake it like a polaroid picture (bringing the early 2000’s vibes back, oh yeah). Swipe a lime wedge around 1/2 of your cocktail glass and dip in the sea salt. Pour the strawberry margarita into your glass, and top with a crisp, ice cold Strawberry Blonde Shiner. Garnish with sliced strawberry and lime, or plop them in there for added flavor.
Go sit on your patio or by a pool pronto, and enjoy!
Fresh & simple Ginger Beer Paloma Cocktail – Our take on a classic drink with an added funky ginger twist.
Any day is a great day for tequila (especially hump day), but after National Margarita Day (and too many margaritas in general) – we wanted to change things up a bit.
The combination is simple. These are just classic Paloma cocktails, but with ginger beer instead of club soda.
1/4 cup fresh grapefruit juice
1 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 teaspoons honey – use less if you don’t want it as sweet
1/4 cup tequila (if you prefer a more tequila taste, add more)
1/4 cup ginger beer – or just fill to rim
Himalayan salt for the rim
grapefruit/ lime slices for garnishing
Pour grapefruit juice, lime juice, honey, and tequila into a shaker with ice. Shake well. Then, pour your cocktail into salt rimmed margarita glass – top with ginger beer. Add a small wedge of grapefruit and lime for garnish, if desired.
Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner – make this your signature cocktail and you will be the life of the party.
This Raspberry Chili Margarita is the perfect cocktail for your holiday party this year. With December just a few days away it is officially time to start party planning and this drink is a must for your menu! It has the perfect bit of spice, and just the right amount of sweet… plus tequila! The ice cubes for this recipe are made using this raspberry chili soda. If you cannot find it in a store near you, plain raspberry soda + dash of chili powder will work just as well (if you make your own you will need to shake together to mix well). This cocktail is festive, easy to make, and best of all delicious.
Make sure you make the ice cubes at least an hour before you make the mixer.
raspberry chili soda
3-5 fresh raspberries
fresh lime juice
chili powder/salt mix (for the rim)
ice cube tray
Take one of the lime wedges and rub along the rim of your glass. Dip the lime rim into the chili/salt mix. Put 2-3 raspberries in the bottom of the glass and use a muddler to slightly mash them up. Pour tequila, a splash of the raspberry chili soda and the juice from 1 lime into glass. Add in ice cubes, and mix carefully.Garnish with a lime wedge, raspberry & party straw
Taste, enjoy, and cheers to the holiday!
