Still in a lull from the holidays? If you need an extra boost to get back in the swing of things, this espresso vodka martini is perfect for your next happy hour. The mixture of vodka and espresso will give you a relaxed martini buzz, with just a little boost of energy!
1.5 oz martini grade vodka
1 oz coffee liqueur
1 shot of espresso
Fill the martini glass with ice to chill and set aside. Pour the vodka, coffee liqueur and espresso into a cocktail shaker and top full of ice. Shake vigorously because you want the ice to smash up while chilling the liquid down; that’s what creates the frothy top. Try to use fresh ice, as melting ice is watery and will dilute the martini. Empty the ice out of the Martini glass, then place the strainer on top of the shaker and pour the contents through a sieve directly into the glass. Using the strainer and the sieve helps create a rich, smooth, froth. Garnish with a few coffee beans and get your sip on!
